Our elephants are listed as endangered in The World Conservation Union (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species since 1996 due to habitat loss, fragmentation, poaching and culling for their ivory and other body parts. This species is protected under both the Malaysian Law Act 76 and the Malaysian Act 1972. With the emergence of the Wildlife Act 2010, our elephants are better protected and gets the respect they deserve.
We house three homeland Asian elephants, Siti, Sibol and Teriang from Pahang. Your support will assist us in providing a variety of enrichments to stimulate their senses within their natural setting and other maintenance needed around their open concept exhibit. Help us care for these precious wildlife and prolong their existence for the next generation to appreciate.
